Terms of Use
Before launch: fill in the publisher's legal name and the governing-law jurisdiction in section 10. If you prefer Apple's standard licence alone, keep section 1 and delete the rest; these terms only add the subscription and safety points below.
1. Licence
WallGlass is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms add to that agreement. Where they conflict, the Apple agreement prevails for anything concerning the App Store.
2. What WallGlass is
WallGlass turns an iPad into an always-on wall display for Apple HomeKit and Home Assistant: clock faces, photos, a Home Screen of widgets and apps, and control of the accessories you already own. It requires an iPad running iPadOS 26 or later.
3. WallGlass Pro subscription
- Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription: $0.99 per month or $8.99 per year, with a one-week free trial on the yearly plan where offered. Prices are shown in your local currency in the App Store and may change; you will be asked to confirm any new price.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or when the trial ends if you have not cancelled.
- The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your iPad.
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policy at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Restore a purchase on another iPad with Settings › WallGlass Pro › Restore Purchases.
4. Your home, your responsibility
WallGlass sends commands to locks, garage doors, heaters, cameras and other accessories through HomeKit or your Home Assistant server. It is a convenience, not a safety system. Do not rely on it as the only way to secure a door, supervise a child or pet, or monitor a hazard, and check critical accessories yourself. Network outages, hub failures and third-party firmware can delay or drop commands and status updates.
5. Third-party services
Home Assistant is independent software you host and are responsible for, including its security and updates. Weather comes from Apple's WeatherKit; news from feeds you add; commute times from Apple Maps. Those services have their own terms, and WallGlass has no control over their availability or accuracy.
6. Acceptable use
Use WallGlass only on iPads you own or are authorised to configure, and only to control homes and servers you are authorised to control. Do not use it to monitor people without their knowledge where the law requires consent.
7. Intellectual property
WallGlass, its design and its artwork are owned by WallGlass. Your photos, dashboards and settings remain yours. Apple, iPad, HomeKit and related marks belong to Apple Inc.; Home Assistant belongs to the Open Home Foundation. Neither has endorsed this app.
8. No warranty
WallGlass is provided "as is" to the maximum extent permitted by law, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Some jurisdictions do not allow this exclusion, in which case it applies to the extent permitted.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, WallGlass is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including damage arising from accessory commands that were delayed, dropped or executed, from reliance on displayed information, or from third-party services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and disputes are subject to the courts of [CITY, COUNTRY], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections where you live.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms when the app changes. The effective date at the top will change, and continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the new Terms.
